by It’s been a while since I updated the blog. It can be hard to come up with ideas for things to write about regularly when things are just ticking along nicely and there are no major changes.
The club has grown massively since moving fully to Easterhouse Sports Centre, our beginners courses have been full or almost full each time they have ran and members we haven’t seen for a while have been able to come back.
This is wonderful news of course but it does mean we are starting to get short of equipment. There will be funding available in the next few months that we would hopefully be able to get but in the mean time we need to do what we can to raise funds for some more equipment. Until we are able to do that it’s unlikely we will be able to run any more beginners courses after the one starting at the end of the month as we simply won’t have enough equipment for everyone to use. There are still a couple of places on that course if anyone is looking to come along, but I would book soon as they will almost certainly fill up.
As it happens EasyFundraising, which we have used for a long time to raise funds are doing a special promotion for sports clubs this month. For every new member who downloads the app and chooses to support us we will get £2 then for every 10 new supporters we get we will be able to earn even more – up to £150!
It is super simple to use EasyFundraising, especially if you use their handy donation reminder. All you need to do is click on the reminder when it pops up as you shop online then carry on with your purchase as normal. The price you pay is not affected and there is no cost to the club either, essentially it’s free money!
